The Irish Residential Driving School is one of the most cost effective driver training organisations in Ireland. Our customers learn to drive with professional trainers in a friendly and patient environment. Inclusive in this special offer is a 4-night stay at the Swan B+B, which is centrally situated in Carrick-on-Shannon and over looking the river Shannon. The scenic town of Carrick On Shannon has plenty of nice restaurants, a leisure centre, river walks and Cineplex all within walking distance of your accommodation.
The Irish Residential Driving School offers a premium service with a strong emphasis on safe driving for life. Each client is allocated the same trainer for the duration of the course and on completion will leave with a unique training formula. We are happy to accommodate any age group with little or no experience. Each of our trainers is sensitive to our customers different learning styles and to customers who may find learning to drive challenging. Whether one is nervous or lacks confidence we take each student on a case-by-case basis and adapt our training to suit his or her needs.

The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) states that “those who pass their driving test have had, on average, about 45 hours of professional training combined with 22 hours of private practice. Learners who prepare this way, with a combination of plenty of professional training and plenty of practice, do better in the test” (DSA 2008). |
Our experience supports this view. Customers are encouraged to take this information into account before applying for their driving test. It is also our experience that Extra Time is required for older beginners and those with special needs.
